Robbery Suspect Admits Cafeteria Hijack In Lubbock
Avalanche Journal reports a 49 year old Lubbock man Eldon Mick Howland confessed to a $203 holdup at Piccadilly Cafeteria downtown. Santa Fe employee Jimmy Greene tracked him to a 500 block Broadway establishment and customers were unaware until a cashier identified the suspect. He said the act was a spur of the moment intoxicated decision and he did not have a gun. Authorities recovered a pistol-like object from his car. The victim, Pauline Alexander, was robbed of $23 at about 8 pm. arrest followed at 9th Street and Avenue A.
