Texas Tech mechanical engineering professor John Coyne Hardgrave, 65, died Friday at his daughter’s Robstown home after a brief illness. He joined Tech in 1926, taught until retirement, and held memberships in ASME, ASEE, Tech Science Club, and was a licensed Texas engineer. His body was to arrive in Lubbock at 7:30 a.m. today. He was a Master Mason and First Methodist steward.
