District 4 10 Council Officers Elected by Delegates

District 4 10 council officers were chosen Saturday by 40 delegates at the South Plains Electric Co-Op auditorium. The group includes Beverly Arnold 18 Sundown as second vice chairman Alice Baumgardner 17 Plainview chairman Phyllis Hedrick 16 Seminole secretary and treasurer Melvin Young 16 Tulia first vice chairman and John Hill 16 Colorado City information chairman.

Inspection Ends On A Facility Site Proposals For Atom Smasher

The Atomic Energy Commission completed on site inspections of 85 possible A F facility locations for a 280 million atom smasher project. Reports move to the National Academy of Sciences for analysis before the AEC selects five or six sites and the commissioners name a final location early next year.
