EXAS TECH board approved a 1 104 250 classroom and office building contract and advanced library work. The panel moved to seek a school of education approval and unanimously set five year contracts at 18000 per year for athletic director Polk Robison and head football coach J T Wing.
The EXAS TECH board approved a $1.104 million Bennett Construction Co. project for a new classroom and office building northwest of the University Theater. Per the decision, the college also budgets $155,205 to Ed Lampe for completing the library basement and third floor while expanding the educational television program with $270,680 in federal funds. The meeting also outlined future housing towers for 572 to 616 students each and a women’s residence hall at 11th Street and Flint Avenue, with more study requested.
