Florida Scoutmaster recalls fire-squirting object encounter
A deputy sheriff and two Boy Scouts joined the scoutmaster’s account of a rural woodland encounter with a strange object described as ball shaped with flames and sparks. Desvergers, a 30 year old hardware salesman, said he was blasted by fire from the object as he investigated flashes of light near a country road. He was questioned by Washington officers at Palm Beach airport and declined to identify them. He described the object as like half a rubber ball three feet thick at the edges, tall enough for a man to stand inside. He warned it might cause public panic if details were shared. The scoutmaster and three scouts were returning home Tuesday when the incident occurred.
