13 Persons Three Are Hurt In Lubbock Traffic Mishaps
Thirteen people were hurt in traffic mishaps on Lubbock streets and other South Plains points Sunday. A Steeley family of three sustained injuries near Lockney when their car overturned on FM Road 378, 144 miles north. The father lost control while attempting to pull the car back onto the highway. Two other incidents involved a youth treated then released from Methodist Hospital, and a motorcycle car crash near Anton. Two brothers were hurt when their pickup overturned during a coyote hunt near Nazareth. one was admitted for observation.

A teenaged bandit wearing a ragged sack mask robbed Skyview Drive-In Theatre cashier at 10 p.m. Sunday 114 miles north on U S 87. He held his hand in his coat pocket and threatened a gun, taking 120 dollars. The cashier’s name was not released.

Coleman Wade, a Plainview Texas contractor for grain elevator projects, died in a private aircraft crash eight miles NW of Jill on Sunday. FAA investigators worked with New Mexico State Police to determine the crash origin and fate of the Bonanza wreck.
