Bernard Muldoon of 41 Swift street was kicked by a horse at Billerica Monday and taken to St John’s hospital with a compound leg fracture.
The Bay State woolen mills known as Faulkner mills, idle for weeks, will restart production on November 5, restoring activity at the site and signaling a return to normal operations after a brief layoff.
From November 1 interest will accrue at 4 percent per year with semi annual compounding. Deposits of $1 and upwards are accepted.

Lieut. Norman, 89, son of George H. Norman former owner of the Newport Daily News, died at the hospital after a navy career in the Spanish American War. A well known club man, he was married and resided in Newport, R I.

Officials cited New York price movements and miner returns as reasons, while stressing competition and public duty. The firm claimed no coal trust and framed pricing as serving the public as purchasing agents. Teams delivered 100 pounds into tenement districts.

Lowell adopts a five year contract with Welsbach Street Lighting Company to install Welsbach pattern gas lanterns citywide. The system promises brighter white light, lower cost per lamp, and new lanterns display street names in ruby glass.

He repeated his Boston address filled with youth anecdotes and experiences as a Roman Catholic priest. Attendance praised the talk while the faith change story drew special interest. The Rev Mr La Fleur assisted by Rev Mr Roi oversaw the event. A musical duet by Edmond and Miss Emma De Farge preceded the lecture with Miss Laura Grue at the piano.
Laurent Roy narrowly escaped serious injury Monday morning at the Lawrence hosiery works. While repairing a pipe near a shafting his clothing tangled in the machinery. He was lifted, his overalls shredded, yet he suffered no injuries and returned to work after changing.
About 500 French Americans gathered at St. Joseph's College hall for nat uralization addresses. J H Guilette called the gathering to order and named Louis P Turcotte chairman with Pierre Brousseau as secretary. Speeches by Rev Fr Gagnon Charles T Roy and Councilman Le Brun stirred much enthusiasm.
