Felix Gosselin aged 18 and Edward Gosselin 14 were placed on a northbound fare to Sherbrooke but boarded a southbound train and ended in Boston. They wandered Union Station until a Montreal express. Police learned they had run away from Boston. the younger boy is Theodore Brand. They sought to reach St Johnsbury where the older once lived.
Lorenzo D Carter’s Chelmsford home narrowly escaped destruction this morning when a defective chimney ignited the roof. Neighbors and the family halted the blaze after a hole burned through the roof and smoke filled the house.
Edward Morris of North Billerica remains in about the same condition after a fall in South Billerica Sunday. Dr Gage reported concussion of the brain but favorable recovery chances. Interest on taxes begins Oct 20.

Patrick F Cunningham died at St John’s hospital after severe burns from a naphtha explosion at his Palmer street shop. Born in Nova Scotia, he lived in Lowell since childhood and ran a shoe repair and domestic wares business, later settled at 49 Bartlett street. Survived by a wife and three children, with siblings in Lynn and the city. Also noted are the deaths of Nathaniel A Mansur and William T Livingston, with brief survivor details and affiliations.
