Thomas Beech, a Rhode Island veteran from In Co. BE Third regiment heavy artillery, died at St. John’s hospital on October 5 at age 60. Injuries occurred when run over by a freight train on Western avenue tracks while asleep. He had been an inmate at Togus Soldiers Home and was on furlough with his wife and daughter at 86 Prince Street. He leaves a wife, one daughter Mrs. Thos Marsden of this city, and two sons Franklin W. and William, plus a daughter Mrs. Mary Lamphere in Centreville, Rhode Island.
