In Philadelphia on May 29 three men convicted of second degree murder for killing Father Riegel by knockout drops were sentenced. Steve Bryan received 15 years while Bob Bryan and Jacob Wynne were each sentenced to 20 years.
In Cleveland Ohio last night the Mechanics Banking Co at Bradnock suffered a burglary the safe was blown and $10000 was taken burglars fled on a handcar leaving the building partially wrecked.
Manila report states Commissary Sergeant Henry Wilson has been sentenced to three years in Bilibid prison for commissary frauds. The ruling comes as authorities continue to crack down on misconduct within military stores and supply chains. Wilson faces imprisonment and loss of rank, with appeals possible.

In the police court this morning Thomas McGeever faced a fast riding charge and a missing bell on his bicycle. He claimed he rode no faster than 10 miles per hour, was fined $5, and the other case was placed on file. James H Briscoe and Peter C Allen were fined $3 for trespassing and fishing at Mill Meadow pond in Tewksbury. Joseph Casgrain, arrested in Arctic Rhode Island, pleaded not guilty to larceny and received a continuance with bail set at $300. John Conway's larceny case was continued. Walter J Ashworth paid $6 and Edward H Morris $2 for drunkenness.
A horse hitched to a Frye & Flynn express wagon ran wild through John and Merrimack streets in Lowell yesterday afternoon scattering second hand furniture and stovepipes. The horse collided with a curbside covered buggy near the Lowell One Price Clothing store, tipping both vehicles and dumping cargo. Minor damage to wagon shafts and harness reported. buggy owner Joseph Gregoire’s vehicle was sidelined briefly. The clothing store manager blamed the incident on shoppers attracted by low prices on display.
