A violent water spout and cyclone struck Guthrie Oklahoma last night causing heavy damage to stock and property. In Edmond twenty houses were destroyed and two people were killed while White Eagle saw twelve houses wrecked. Black Bear reported three deaths and Cushing five lives lost. The storm from the south met a western cyclone. Losses in Osage County exceed seventy five thousand dollars for live stock. Within fifty miles eight cyclones have occurred in a week.
In Nashua on May 22 Charles Austin 12 was arraigned after attempting to shoot Wallace Hatfield 12. The boys were practicing with a revolver last week. Hatfield was seriously injured. Austin held for the Superior court.
A fire in Amsterdam New York destroyed the Neff Opera house this morning with a loss of 30000 dollars, 21000 insured. The adjacent Hotel Warner was also destroyed with a loss of 5000 dollars, insured.
