Fire followed, about 15 people believed buried. George Metz barber and Michael O'Brien carpenter died. Jacob Rishman and Jenny Crib ben among the injured or dead. building was under remodeling after vacancy.

A fire at 1 AM gutted the North Andover woolen mills structure owned by J. H. Sutton. The stone building housed wool stock and was totally destroyed. Estimated loss around 35000 dollars, with authorities noting extensive damage to the interior.
North Adams on May 21 John Tooney a 31 year old Boston and Albany section hand fell from a hand car this morning and was run over by a following hand car on the same track. His back was broken and he cannot live.
Amesbury may 21 Thomas F Ferguson aged 92 reputedly the nation s oldest Grand Army man fell on a pavement last night and sustained severe injuries authorities said he was vision impaired and rushed to a local hospital for treatment

Two co workers Effie McDonald and Marie D Amour were injured as escaping steam and debris injured others. the pipe’s failure shocked workers and prompted rapid shutdowns and repairs. Ellen La Plant, 23, Canadian, lived at 14 Garnet street. Lena, her sister, cried after the tragedy.
