Reading Pa May 15 A terrible rear end collision on an extra train after Pottsville to Philadelphia connection in Reading left 35 dead and 50 injured. The crash at Exeter involved telescope of three rear cars, with crushed bodies and many unidentified victims. A special train with doctors and nurses rushed to the scene.
Manila dispatch reports Admiral Dewey will sail in about ten days aboard the Olympia for New York via Suez. The voyage is expected to last three months. Aguinaldo has ordered all foreigners to leave insurgent territory within 48 hours. Only a few commercial men remain, mainly English and German.
Three cars of the wrecked second section reached Philadelphia this morning after colliding with the cannon Ball express at Exeter. A large number of injured were aboard. Two died in the station. The engineer and fireman of the second section were badly hurt.

Liabilities include capital du es 270056 profits 61198 28 surplus 2824 82 guaranty fund 1343 05. During the meeting 9000 was loaned at an average rate of 6 3 10.

Michael Sullivan an employee of Lowell Machine Shop suffered a severe hand injury while at Tremont and Suffolk this forenoon. His hand was torn from the wrist down to the second joint exposing bones and tendons. At Lowell Hospital amputation was considered but Sullivan refused and the wound is being treated. He resides at 559 Broadway.
In Hadley, J Patrick J Smith convicted on two larceny charges and given 14 months in jail. Robert C Gallagher fined 150 dollars for illegally keeping liquor, appeal noted. Napoleon Ducharme charged with larceny of a horse and drunkenness, six months on the first charge and two months on the second. Edward J Commerford fined 3 dollars for city ordinance violation. Two additional drunks were fined 1 dollar each.
The Epworth league of Worthen Street M E Church will observe its tenth anniversary tomorrow evening at 6 30 o clock. All members and friends are cordially invited to attend the event.
Authorities investigate possible foul play in the death of John A. Ryan of this city who died after an incident on a trestle in Glastonbury Rockville Connecticut. Reports say Ryan may have been struck by an electric car while walking along the track with contested injuries and lingering questions about how the fatal blow occurred. Investigators shadow a suspect and plan further action if evidence confirms foul play. Also mentions will proceedings involving Henry Whit ing, Clara Taylor and trustees and a Mary Roche will case continuation with June 20 hearing.
Judge Lawton presided as the action for separate maintenance by Thomas McGinn proceeded in probate court. The hearing concluded at 3 30 in the afternoon with the court taking the matter under advisement as Phineas Whiting's will was brought to attention.

Mrs Bridget Freeman aged 83 dies Friday at her sister Eliza Freeman s home on Andrews street. Phelix Brunet aged 33 years and 3 days dies Friday morning at 34 Gorham street. Ellen McCullough aged 78 dies yesterday at the home of her brother in law Patrick McNulty on 14 Lawrence street. resident of Lowell for 60 years.
The funeral for Martha J. Bagley was largely attended yesterday from her daughter Mrs. W. A. Shipley’s residence at 83 Shaw Street. Prayers were said at noon by Rev. C. EB. Fisher. The remains were sent to Nashua at an hour, burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Services in the cemetery chapel were by Rev. T. A. Gray. Floral tributes came from Lowell and Nashua. Funeral services for Edwin W. Richards were held today at 2 PM from his home at 10 Sawtelle Place, with Rev. L. W. Staples officiating.

John Thomas Howarth aged 42 died at 6.07 this morning at St. John's hospital following a skull fracture from a ladder fall earlier this week.
