Boston March 3 The Standing Committee of the Protestant Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts says Rev J W Suter's apology for his article in The Church is sufficient and he will not be presented to Bishop Lawrence After reviewing canonical information the committee noted that Suter and others had editors of the paper and that Suter acknowledged authorship The panel voted that since Suter published a full unqualified apology and retraction no further action is needed

Floral tributes included a pillow of roses lilies and ferns from the wife, a 52-tulip bunch from Mr and Mrs Martin O'Meara, maiden hair ferns from Mr and Mrs John Crotty, a wreath from Mrs P McQuade and other arrangements. burial in the Catholic cemetery under Undertaker McDermott. Other listed names at the service include Beavers John Mead Patrick Fitzgibbon John Shea Michael Kelley Simon Kelley and Patrick Farrell. Funeral services for Mrs Rose Ann Dugdale were held at her home on 689 School street with Rev George S Sinclair. Emmett had general charge and bearers James Fulton William Kelly Isaac Barr and Mr Milli ken. Music by the American quartette accompanied entombment in Lowell cemetery directed by Undertaker Carrier. Catharine Cunningham's funeral at St Michael's Church was led by Rev Fr Gleason with bearers Thomas Head Devine Patrick O'Brien and Richard Cuff. burial followed in the Catholic cemetery under Undertaker O'Donnell.
Mary E. Rydle infant daughter of Richard and Mary Rydle died at 387 North street yesterday afternoon. Annie L. Paul, 19, daughter of Sarah F. and the late Cornelius Paul, died at 237 East Merrimack street at 7:30 Wednesday morning February 3. Funeral at First Universalist church Friday at 3:30 PM. Friends invited.
A brisk campaign runs for the deputy collector of internal revenue with petitions signed. Contenders listed include Mr A G Thompson, Dr W H Downs, and Councilman Leighton, all vying for the position.
Several Salvation Army members went to Lawrence last night to attend the wedding of Capt Ellis and Capt Magoon, both known in army circles in this city. A U S Primary Teachers Union meeting will be Friday at 3.30 in Paige Street Free Baptist vestry. Miss Brown to teach Bible study. All are invited.

Green school hosted a 2 30 pm stereopticon lecture by Principal Bachellor on Washington’s Capitol and public buildings. Training school featured guided talks by Miss Edmunds. Highland school staged hymns recitations and flag salute. Programs marked the centennial of John Adams taking the oath, with no partisan politics noted.
Judge Hadley presided at a crowded Police Court session on March 4 with five prisoners in the dock. Michael Casey pleaded for a second chance after a drink offense and was fined one dollar. Thomas Walsh and Albert Pendergast also fined for drunkenness. Joseph Kirqsrtynish fled but later appeared. after a long hearing all prisoners were found not guilty and discharged.

Maud Paradis returns home from a concert tour. A son was born Feb 24 to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. H. Heywood of Minneapolis. Mrs. Richard Perry visits Lowell then returns to North Billerica. D. B. Bartlett travels to Old Point Comfort for health. Clergy preachers to speak at St Thomas church in Lawrence during September. Mrs. George W. Ely and her three daughters visit Lowell. they have been in Salem since September. Recent New York notes list several names at various hotels.
