Philadelphia report recounts Harry Campbell a 21 year old Mexico born elevator boy who after pay day bought a revolver and shot Barbara Carter 16 and Dora Johnson then killed himself. Both victims hospitalised. Campbell died at the morgue. Carter had refused marriage.
Albany June 24 The certificate of merger of Schenectady Locomotive Works with American Locomotive Company was filed with the secretary of state. The new entity has capital stock of 50 000 000. The document is signed by S R Callaway president and Leigh Best secretary of the American Locomotive Company.
The Traders National Bank announces deposit boxes for five dollars per annum. Savings department locations in Middlesex Street and Post Office Avenue list banking rooms exclusive. Access times are Saturdays 1 PM to 9 PM with extended hours.

A fire at the J Edwards Painting company in St Louis spread to adjacent tenements causing panic. Anna Zola died after jumping from upper windows. her daughter Camille sustained a hip dislocation and skull fracture. son Edward was seriously hurt. Overall loss small.
The transport Hancock departed San Francisco on June 25 carrying Adjt. Gen. Corbin Brig. Gen. J Weston of the commissary department Senator C H Dietrich of Nebraska and Congressman Julius Kahn of San Francisco. Also aboard were Surgeon General Sternberg General Chambers McKibben and many teachers bound for Philippine schools to assess needs and conditions.
The semi centennial celebration continued in Newburyport on June 25 with the largest parade in city history drawing about 10,000 visitors. About 300 marines from the battleship Massachusetts participated in the event.

Three painters working on the Niagara Gorge bridge ladder slipped and fell into the rapids below near Niagara Falls New York. The sixteen year old girl, said to have fallen since her mother became a criminal, faces murder related distress and possible entreaties in dry measures as authorities pursue further actions.
Pilgrim commandery of Laconia hosted visiting Lowell commandery in a day of hospitality. After a welcome luncheon at the temple, guests toured Paige street and proceeded to Mountain Rock for an afternoon of sports for local boys, including a 8 8 ball game, races, a flour box scramble, boxing bouts, and a greased pig chase. Music filled the day as cars returned to the city, with praise for the arrangements and reception committee led by Edward J. Noyes and others.
James Frois Savage of Lowell born February 24, 1949, son of Rev Isaac A. Savage and Mary Anne Clark Helis, held senior roles in Masonry including worshipful master of Ivisha lodge and commander of Pilgrim Commandery Lowell. He traced descent from Abn Savage who settled in the area.
