James F Ahearn iceman shot his wife Louise then killed himself in their New York home. Motive cited as anger over his wife's dissipation. Police wrestled with a chaotic scene as Kittie and Dubois faced injuries and arrests.
Boston June 18 old Putnam house a landmark of Revere beach was destroyed by fire discovered around 2 pm by Officer McKenney. Loss about 2000. Proprietor Wallace H Fitt rescued invalid Mrs Mary Norton from second floor amid flames. Fire spread to adjacent cottage but saved. building uninsured though owned by Putnam estate.
John Ramsey, arrested in Springfield on a warrant, posted bail after a tale of missing $490. A Holyoke stopover, two young women met Ramsey at a Westfield hotel party. Ramsey woke to find his money gone and police involvement followed. Two suspects from New York were detained and released as sisters proved relations. Police expect Ramsey and companions to be caught soon.
In Lawrence at 232 Methuen street a man named George Dubois leaped from a third story window at midnight, sustaining serious injuries. Police officers Logan and Woodcock had spotted Dubois earlier with Richard Condon and Kittie Collins at the boarding house, prompting an attempted room check before the jump.
In Mt. Carmel Pennsylvania David Richards 20 was found dead yesterday morning on the porch of Harry Waters. Richards was to wed Elizabeth Waters 19 today at 10. The parlor had flowers and out of town guests attended. It is unclear if Richards was murdered or died by his own hand. A revolver bought Monday is missing.

Bradford Vermont June 19 The entire Bradford Paper company plant was destroyed by fire this morning. Loss estimated at 15000 with one third insured. The building, a landmark erected in 1820, had recently been refitted with new machinery.

Mr and Mrs P W Haseltine marked a silver wedding anniversary on Saturday at their Beacon Street home in Haverhill with a reception hosted by friends. Their son Frank and daughter Helen assisted, along with Mrs Dean of Lawrence and Miss Clara and Miss Lillian Haseltine of Windham. Mr Haseltine, native of Windham, long lived in Lawrence. Georgia Dean, his wife, from Lawrence. They wed 26 years ago in Lawrence.

Boston detectives arrive, seeking Blondin as authorities pursue clues and a possible $500 reward bill dies in the Senate.
New York police report Blondin was in the city last Friday but has since vanished. His trunk and bicycle sit at Fall River pier while checks remain in the post office. Detectives suspect a ruse to mislead authorities as Boston and New York crews pursue leads and a possible steamer departure.
Inspectors under Marshal Hilliard hunted local factories machine shops bakeries and similar places in Fall River on June 18 to locate Blondin who might hide among 30000 Canadians. Although several workers matched his description no arrest followed and officers suspect Blondin left the city possibly mailing a letter from New York to mislead pursuers.
A letter received by Taunton division Supt Ackley suggests another crew may be involved in the Blondin case. The 1900s era missive from Jos Murray of New York asks for trunk and wheel shipments, requests address updates, and mentions multiple post offices and stations, with Ackley notifying H O Nickerson in New York who will inform police.
Montreal police reported to Le Journal on June 18 that Blondin has been located or identified in connection with an unfolding development. Further details were not available in the brief dispatch.

Plugger Bill Martin of Lowell closed a successful season on May 15 in Australia. McDonald and F. S. Beauchamp in the finals. Martin’s season total in Australia reached $7,520, with earlier wins in Adelaide Melbourne Ballarat Sydney St Kilden Bendigo Echuca and he has begun business in Melbourne.
About 80 Griffin descendants from Josiah Griffin of Methuen gathered Tuesday at Willow Dale for the annual reunion. Attendees came from Tyngsboro, Dracut, Lowell, Tewksbury, Lynn, Boston, Malden, Athol, Peabody and Portsmouth NH. Officers elected included Edwin Griffin of Tewksbury as president and Chas A Sherburne of Tyngsboro as vice president. A bamboo paper rack was presented to C A Sherburne for services. Joseph Bernier and George Boisvert both 16 faced Judge Pickman in the police court on alleged larceny from the J A Foisy bakery cart at 17 Aiken Avenue. Bonds set at 200 each for juvenile day. William Peacock and Peter Ouimette also charged with attempting larceny. cases continued. Edward M Freeman pleaded not guilty to being a common drunkard after allegedly striking Lillian Favreault.
