Joel L. W. St. Laurent, 35, a brass finisher, shot himself in the temple at the Crystal Lake hotel in Wakefield today. Despondency from unemployment is given as the cause. his father is a station agent in Orange, his parents reside in Haydenville, and he had recently undergone throat surgery. The revolver was bought in Wakefield Saturday evening.
