The Amalgamated Association will levy an assessment on members employed by Republic Iron and Steel and Independent Bar Iron, totaling around 50,000 workers, to support strikers against the steel company. The plan creates a fund of 25000 dollars per month, with the treasury at 300000 dollars designated for strike operations.

Boarder Charles S Rhinehardt is held as a suspicious person after admitting to giving morphine though he says he dosed only enough to ease pain. He had stayed at the house for some time and the woman reportedly consented to the injection after severe head pains.

Danny Healey of Raymond New Hampshire died after a hay wagon accident on July 4 led to lockjaw. A leading local figure he served as selectman in Albany Maine and held several Raymond posts including clerk representative and school board member. He was active in Masonry and Fellowship. he left a widow and three children.
