In Police Court, Pickman Judge released one drunk, placed another on probation, and jailed John McGillicudy for three months. John F. Murphy failed to appear with counsel present, was capiased, and the case continued to February 2 after discussions.

A shoe was hurled at a bridal party as it started from a Tremont corporation house for the parsonage on Wednesday. The shoe struck a horse, the carriage toppled and the driver was dragged before John Reed halted the horses. The party escaped unharmed and proceeded to the wedding in another carriage.
