Miss Jennie Moore daughter of the late I C Moore and a prominent San Francisco society belle died Sunday at the family residence Survivors and funeral details were not available in the fragment but the notice notes her social standing and local prominence.
A 28 year old San Francisco woman living on Gough street sustained terrible injuries when a gas jet ignited her lace curtains causing a blaze in her room. She tried to stamp out the fire but her clothing caught fire and she ran into the hall a mass of flames. Neighbors and bystanders extinguished the flames, but she lingered in agony for several hours before dying. The case is noted for her beauty and talents.
Judge Bookstayer in the supreme court at New York increased Fayne Strahan Moore bail from 4000 to 6000 on the badger ing Martin Mahon charge. An additional 1500 bond was set on a larceny charge accusing Mrs Moore of stealing silverware from the Waldorf Astoria. The judge ordered counsel and the district attorney to review the offered bail before acceptance.

He was taken to Lowell by car, then to St John’s Hospital after ambulance response. bleeding persisted and pain went untreated until arrival. Henry W. J J Mealey died at his home 172 Howard street Tuesday at 11 45 am from heart failure. Born Prince Edward Island June 14 1844 he moved to Lowell, learned copper stamp making, joined Parsons & Mealey after Parsons’ death and led the firm. He served in Lowell’s common council in 1878 and held roles in F A, Knights of Columbus, and A O H divisions. He leaves a wife four children and three brothers, plus a sister. Also Rev FE W Porter former Paige Street pastor died in Peabody Tuesday, funeral Thursday 2 30 at residence 85 Central street with interment Friday in Concord New Hampshire.
