In Boston on January 25 Delia McLean, a defendant in the David Gordon badger game case before the superior criminal court, attempted suicide in the detention room by swallowing quinine pills and Dover's powder. She was forced to drink soap suds and vomited. McLean and William Drinkall had been found guilty in the badger game.
