A horse owned by M Donavan a Market street produce dealer ran away at about 12 15 PM in Middlesex street causing alarm. It dashed through Jackson and Central streets narrowly missing mill workers and Officer Leighton in civvies, knocked a woman to the ground, and fell on Hurd street before being restrained by the fireman and Mr Leigh ton. The horse was not injured and the woman was taken to a drug store for care.
The Sunday 4 PM meeting will feature Ed C Hayes from Andover as speaker. A singing service precedes the talk and weekly attendance grows. The 9:15 AM service remains, lasting 45 minutes. A Young Men’s Bible class gathers Sunday at 2 PM open to all men. The Woman’s Auxiliary monthly meeting is next Tuesday at 3:30 PM in the association building.
George Dressel was killed by a rifle blast at a Bowery shooting gallery. Walter J. Kelly, acting manager, was arrested for murder after handing a rifle to a patron, the weapon firing and fatally wounding Dressel who was painting targets just feet from the counter.

Manila January 26 The Philippines commission declares anyone in arms against U S authority or aiding insurrection after March ineligible for office. Gen Funston reports 30 of his men near San Isidoro yesterday killed five insurgents. A later engagement with 30 insurgents under Tagunden ended with Tagunden killed while fleeing.

Other officers include William Barris D G Ryan Mrs H W Derbey auditors, trustees Thomas Sutherland Norman Leith J D Hubbard. Dickson also treasurer of the church debt fund. Police Superintendent Davis confined at home for days visits station Friday afternoon. Albert Crowell, a hustler at the station, absent several days due to illness, returns to work Friday. Driver J. Mrs Mary Ann Callahan was found dead in her room at 71 Fast Merrimack street on Friday afternoon. Dr Brunnelle said she had been dead 12 to 24 hours. Mrs Dent the house owner notes she was the widow of a soldier who received a pension and did light housework at Merrimack Corporation.
