Edward McCabe of Roxbury was assaulted and robbed of $100 around 6 pm Tuesday near Columbus avenue and Prentiss street. Michael J. Manning, 22, was later arrested for the robbery. Miss Alma D. The first annual meeting of the Massachusetts district Independent Order of Odd Ladies, Manchester unity, met at 446 Tremont street Boston. Officers elected include Provincial grand lady Mrs. Rachel Emsley and deputies, with Miss Kate Williams and Mrs. Coulter among others. The district will act as a sit district of the Massachusetts district I C O F M A and the state grand lodge. The meeting reports large membership, good finances, and strong future prospects.

Alice Fenton accidentally fell down a flight of stairs at 247 Dutton Street last evening around six o clock. She sustained slight back injuries and was transported by ambulance to the city farm for care.
Fifty or more guests including degree staff and friends enjoyed an impromptu musical and literary evening hosted by Degree Master F J Flemings at 293 High Street. Light refreshments followed the program.
