Mrs Laura Wolcott Parker born Jackson died at her Boston home aged 82. She served as a Civil War nurse on the steamer Daniel Wooster under the US Sanitary Commission, later marrying Charles Henry Parker in 1864. Survived by husband and three, her death preceded news of her brother Col Jackson's will listing 100000 as a specific bequest and the remainder to two brothers and a sister.
