Little Fred Totton of Lowell walked from Boston to Lynn Monday afternoon along the Boston and Maine railroad line. He was found crying beside the track in West Lynn by Patrolman Murphy and taken to police headquarters. His parents, Mr. and Mrs Thomas Totton of 12 Dane Street, Lowell, had been shopping in Boston when he wandered off after losing sight of them near Washington Street. He hitchhiked to Union Station and then followed the tracks to Lynn, arriving five hours later.
