Bandits Fail in Sand Point Train Robbery
A west bound Northern Pacific passenger train was held at Sand Point Idaho by seven robbers who forced the engineer to uncouple the baggage car and attempt to wreck it with dynamite. The plan failed after fifteen minutes and the robbers fled, guarding passengers with revolvers but injuring none as the engine returned to Spokane.

Stanislaus Hop jailed ten days and Marla Ainsworth two months. George McCoy fined seven dollars for drunkenness and assault. Three men arrested at the railway station were released.
