Philadelphia April 21 The men selected by the Pencoyd Iron Works to erect the bridge for the English government across the Atbara river in the Soudan left for London today They will receive $100 a month and expenses until they return.

The funeral for John D. Honey was held yesterday afternoon at his Pleasant Street home with a large out of town attendance. Floral tributes included a blue immortelle inscription Apollo club a cross and anchor and several large wreaths. Burial occurred at Edson cemetery under J B Currier's direction with bearers Wm Jones and three Foster cousins Bert William Gordon Foster.
The Centralville Rebekahs held a maple sugar party and dance in the Odd Fellows hall on Bridge Street last night. Servers of the sugar on snow included Miss Lottie Flemings Robena Sayers Miss Abbie Vickery and Miss Georgie Stevens. David Quinlan of Lowell, a former Western Division freight conductor for the Boston and Maine, was killed Tuesday at Wakefield Junction while on duty with the Reading passenger train. He stepped from between two cars in front of the locomotive and was killed.

The man found dead from asphyxiation in the St. Charlies hotel on Thursday morning was identified in the afternoon as James Grogan, 60, of Wethersfield Connecticut. He formerly resided in Pelham for 20 years, per local officials.

In a Suffolk Street theft case, Assard Roseck was arrested in Montreal on a charge of stealing 115 from Annie Ansera, a Syrian resident. Inspector Latamme will return with the prisoner once extradition papers are settled, aided by two identifying India ink marks on his forehead. Roseck had lodged at Ansera’s home Wednesday night and fled with the money before dawn.
The State board of registration in pharmacy reorganizes with John Larrabee of Melrose as president and Amos K. Tilden of Boston as secretary. Charles P Nixon of Leominster is appointed to replace resigning H M Whitney. Freeman H Butler remains a long time member. Larrabee, born April 21 1850 in Melrose, has run a Melrose pharmacy since 1867 and served on the board since 1887. He has held local offices and held numerous civic memberships. He resigns as secretary after two and a half years to become president.
Michael McKeon employed by Joseph Mullin at 953 Gorham Street was thrown from his team near his business between 11 and 12 today and sustained scalp bruises. He was transported by ambulance to St John's Hospital and resides at 167 West 6th Street.
A police court session before Judge Hadley featured 12 drunks with various outcomes. Sentences included workhouse terms for Margaret Lundy and Mary Hansbury, continued cases for Elizabeth Miller and Katherine Smith, and several fines for others, alongside a mix of guilty pleas and paroles.
Bernard Donnelly was arrested by Inspector Allen for alleged larceny of a watch and chain from F B Sullivan of 5 Fulton Street and will be arraigned tomorrow. John Jellison a boy about 14 was arrested on a charge of walking on the Boston and Maine tracks. Police believe he may be connected to an obstruction on the tracks near the power house in Middle Sex Street. An employee found part of a snow plough on the tracks and the obstruction is said to have come from a car house used by the Lowell and Suburban Company.
