Boston April 6. Harry Williams aged twenty two a brakeman on the Boston and Maine Lowell division jumped from a rapidly moving train this morning and was run over. His left leg was amputated at the knee and his right foot severed. He is not expected to survive. Williams had married two months ago.
H. H. Bickford formerly of this city died at his Chester New Hampshire home last Thursday aged 54. He was brother to Edwin S. Bickford and Mrs John Roberts of South Spring Street. The funeral was held Saturday. Peter B Sherlock died yesterday at his East Merrimack Street home aged 42. An old city resident and former Common Council member, he leaves a wife a daughter and a brother John and was linked with the Lowell Reform club.
Quo warranto hearings against the mayor's appointees are unlikely this week as the attorney general is away. School supplies arrive for kindergarten classes while a street committee hearing tonight will consider bridge projects and street widenings. An accounts committee will approve or disapprove bills and the purchasing office reviews bids for many minor department needs.

Newark New Jersey April 5 fire destroyed several park buildings including the large hall with a loss estimated at 50000 dollars. The blaze caused extensive damage early today though no injuries are reported. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the Caledonian park fire.
The Lakeview station on the Old Colony division was burned Friday afternoon. The fire is believed incendiary since the station serves only summer visitors to the Chautauqua meetings. Loss is $1500. The station will be rebuilt at once.

Peter Sherlock, an ex councilman, died at his home at 21 Fast Merrimack Street yesterday at age 42. He leaves a wife and one child. Mrs Honora McCue died Saturday at 179 Adams Street aged 75, a longtime Lowell resident since 1881. She leaves two children.
