Bingham Jailed On Assault Charge
Hobbs resident Bingham was charged with assaulting two boys aged 15 and 16 at Geronimo Hut Monument. At a city court preliminary hearing Tuesday morning he received 30 days in jail and a $50 fine after state patrolman Hoover Wimberly investigated the incident. One victim was treated at Lea General Hospital and released.
New Laundry Seeks Workers in Lovington Expansion
A new laundry by J A Young of Canyon Texas plans to hire shirt operators and checkers for its Lovington operation expected to open in about six weeks. Applications are to be submitted to the Chamber of Commerce. Young is described as a long-time civic participant in Canyon including Chamber of Commerce leadership and Boy Scout involvement.
