Harrington Del. (UP) Bryant Bowles president of the National Association for the Advancement of White People was arrested on conspiracy charges after stepping from a plane. Bowles faced a two count warrant for conspiracy to violate school attendance laws and to interfere with the school system. He was jailed in a state police car and to post bond in a Dover court. governor and attorney general cited aims to disrupt school attendance and racial tensions.
