Funeral services are set for Monday afternoon at the Green Chapel in Hobbs for W D Girand Sr. The Hobbs attorney died suddenly Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at age 75. He was born in Abilene Texas April 9 1878 and lived at 113 Yucca. He moved to Hobbs in 1949 and worked with the Neal and Girand law firm. Survivors include his son W D Jr of Hobbs and daughter Alma Girand of St Louis, one grandson Dan Girand, a sister and a brother.
