Graveside Rites Read In Tatum For Mrs Winans
Final rites were said for Mrs An nie Winans who died in Borger Texas at her daughter s home. Her body was brought to Tatum for burial beside her husband Edward H Winans who died May 16 1935. Services were held in Borger with Elder E J Norman officiating. At the graveside in Tatum Elder Norman was assisted by Rev Oliver Nelson. A mixed choir from Tatum churches sang two numbers. Flowers were arranged by Mrs Johnnie Mae Penny. Casketbearers were six grandsons Eldon and Ray Peveler Gerald y and Wayne Fleming James White and James Yates. Family and out of town friends attended from Lubbock Carlsbad San Angelo Hobbs Lovington Stanton Corpus Christi and other towns. The bereaved are reminded of the promise of the Lord.

Rites Held For Mrs. Maggie Gardner Of Lovington
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Maggie Mae Gardner of Lovington at Smith Yarbro Chapel with Reverend L W Hardcastle in charge. Mrs. Gardner died September 29 in Van Horn Texas at age 68 after a long illness. She and husband W M Gardner moved to Lea County from Floyd County Texas decades ago and farmed north of Lovington. Survived by husband two daughters Mrs Lillian Schnaubert and Mrs W F Green and three sons J M Gardner Preston Gardner Bill Gardner, plus ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One daughter Billie Ellison preceded her in death. She was a Baptist. Interment followed at Lovington Cemetery.
