Funeral services were held Monday in Ft Sumner New Mexico for Earnest Evan Pittman known as Son He died Sunday night at 830 after heart trouble He was 61 and married to Rebecca Jasper in 1923 A World War II veteran and former Lea County Republican Chairman he taught at Rang er Lake and Tatum Survivors include his widow his mother and three brothers Attendees from Tatum included Frank Ross H G West and Mark Hicks.

Woodrow Coe to Build New Residences Near Football Field
Construction began Monday on 20 houses by Woodrow Coe Lovington Constructor on land two blocks west of the football field. Coe bought 325 lots from J. C. Maxwell of Ft Worth. The first homes in the new project are to be completed in about six weeks and offered for sale upon finishing.
