In a Friday afternoon Little League doubleheader the Piggly Wiggly Cardinals toppled the previously undefeated Giants 10-7 as Joe Bourque pitched seven strong innings. The Cardinals exploded for five runs in the first inning aided by eight Giants errors and five walks, while John Bourque homered in the sixth. Joe Freeman's mother Mrs. Fannie E. Johnson 67 died at her McAlester Ohio home Thursday morning. Freeman left McAlester after visiting his ill mother and learned of her death in Lovington before returning. He owns Joe's Delicatessen and Market.
