Twelve Texas Trucks Detained In New Mexico Stop
Twelve trucks owned by L. E. Mercer Trucking Co. of Fort Worth were detained in Lovington Wednesday morning for lacking proper registration papers. Postoffice Box Rental Increases Announced Nationwide

Court Asked To Decide on Water Priority
The State of New Mexico sues in Lovington District Court against five farmers applying for water well permits in township 16 South Range 38 E near Paul's Bar on the Denver City Highway. The suit seeks a clear boundary of unappropriated public waters and a mechanism to allow each applicant to establish priority since water available is insufficient for all permits.
