J. W. Prather, 9, was bitten on the ankle last Saturday afternoon and treated at Lovington General Hospital where he was released and reported all right. His parents live on the W. H. Anderson ranch north of Tatum. Dr. Gillett said the fang marks showed a small rattlesnake is just as potent as larger ones. The area has many small rattlers and bites occur about one or two times yearly in the surrounding region.

State Contractors Pay 60 000 For Licenses In New Mexico
