Hi Run Drunk Driving Charged After Hobbs Hit and Run
Wayne William Schwoob 43 of 421 W Dunham Hobbs was arrested for hit and run and drunken driving after a minor collision at Marland and Broadway Hobbs at noon Saturday. He admitted involvement and was jailed in default of bond after being cited for no valid license. Two Hobbs Girls Charged With Theft Of Ring
Two Hobbs girls ages 14 and 15 were held in the sheriff’s office on Monday morning facing charges of running away from home and theft of jewelry from Mrs. H. L. Burkhard of Byers Street Hobbs. They admitted stealing a diamond ring, pawned it in Roswell, discarded the pawn ticket, and were later questioned by detectives Barkley and Whitworth. They travelled from Hobbs to Roswell then El Paso where they were apprehended.
