Arrest attempt ends at Bradbury home in Los Alamos

One Accident on City Streets
City police investigated a two car collision at Avenue D and Fifth Street at 4 44 p m. Mrs Bess Yearwood 201 South Fifth was uninjured except for a small cut while Mex Jones of Artesia sustained a forehead gash and was not hospitalized. Jones wife Sherri was hospitalized. Damage was estimated at 1000 to Yearwood car and 800 to Jones vehicle. Captain Herb Cunningham investigated. Fire department ran a prairie fire near Arkansas Junction at 6 34 on Otis Pruit Mason Graham ranch.

Eleven year old Judy Hooper electrocuted in Crane bath
Judy Diane Hooper 11, great granddaughter of Mrs. J B Love of Lovington, died after using an electric fan in the bathroom tub at her Crane home. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Gordon Hooper. grandparents Mr and Mrs Marvin Hooper. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Christ in Crane.
