An ordinance to monitor gasoline sales is set for public hearing as state law allows municipalities to track sales for tax purposes. The city notes a downward trend in gasoline tax receipts over six years and discusses a revenue bond tied to the tax receipts.

The Lordsburg Welcome Center billboard remains incomplete after Homestead Sign Company owner Larry Ellsworth stated he would finish only if required. The sign was commissioned in 1988 with about 40 merchants paying 40 dollars each for ad space. Miller and two men allegedly removed the sign, prompting sheriff investigations with no new leads.
