Deaths on New Mexico Roads Reach 96 in August
Dewey Lonsberry, secretary of New Mexico's Highway and Transportation Department, reported 56 motor vehicle deaths in August 1989, down from 60 in August 1988, with year to date fatalities at 349 versus 322 in 1988.
