The Hidalgo County Fair and Sheriff's Posse Rodeo opens after the Old Timers parade at Hidalgo County Fairgrounds. Cobre scored two early touchdowns to build a 12 7 halftime lead over Lordsburg Mavericks. Diaz connected with Williams for 57 yards and Arrendance on the extra point pass as the Indians extended to 24 points by the third period. Leland Jack Stewart a 35 year old rancher from Cotton City died suddenly. The body was moved to Las Cruces by Heather Mortuary for service at Graham's Mortuary on Friday morning at 11 o'clock.
