City To Sell Dog Licenses In Lordsburg
The City will sell city Dog Tags for 3 at the Rabies Clinic on Saturday October 29 at the Fire Station. All dogs must wear City Dog Tags under City Ordinance 271 Sec 4. Animal Control will issue citations for dogs not tagged. Tags available at City Hall Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with rabies certificate.

Hazel Ellison 74 of Lordsburg died Monday October 17 at Sunshine Haven Nursing Home. She was a long time resident, worked as a beauty operator, and belonged to the Does organization and the Methodist Church. Survivors include two brothers L E Toby Wallace and Boyd Wallace, a sister Grace Merrit, and several cousins. Funeral services were held Thursday October 20 at Heather Chapel with Rev. David Snyman officiating. Burial followed at Mt View Cemetery with pallbearers listed.

President Reagan declared three southwestern New Mexico counties federal disaster areas after heavy rainfall caused extensive flooding.
