Move Toward City Commission Form Urged by Liberal Group
The Observation Post reports petitions to require an election on adopting the commission form. If signed by 15 percent of mayoral voters, a special election must be held within 30 days. If approved, five district commissioners plus an at large mayor form a city government with a full time manager. The Liberal argues the plan offers more efficient, professional city operation and accountability.
