A two car crash 5.1 miles west of Lordsburg on Highway 80 at 3 25 PM left David Tannebaum 17 unconscious with brain concussion like injuries and Manuel Laguna Jr 17 with minor cuts and bruises. Both were NH youth workers at Dutch DePolas and the case will go to juvenile court.

The Merit Program awards 20.5 million to identify and assist top students. Merit Scholars may choose any accredited college and any field of study. About 800 runners up receive Certificates of Merit and their names are shared with colleges and scholarship bodies. Colleges hosting Merit Scholars can receive up to 3000 as a grant.
