City Police Chief Ed Cramer and financial Officer Randy Cooper attended the New Mexico State Highway Department five year plan meeting in District 5 held at the Silver City Public Safety Building on October 7. They discussed Lordsburg projects and Cramer also attended a Deming meeting on October 15 about the National Weather Service forecast and Emergency Planning coordination. The conference aims to improve information exchange and the dissemination of severe weather watches and warnings statewide as cities and counties boost emergency preparedness.

Fannie A Hill 93 dies in Utah with funeral set
Fannie A Hill, 93, died October 15 in Bountiful Utah. Visitation was held at 10 a.m. the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral at 11 a.m. with Bishop Allen A Hill officiating and interment at Mountain View Cemetery Lordsburg. She was born June 16 1894 in Pima Arizona to Samuel and Sarah Allen. Survivors include son Allen A Hill and three daughters Velma Lindsay Mildred Christensen Sherrill Hanchett plus 15 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

The City of Lordsburg reports approval of a 1987 CIAP grant request totaling 206050 dollars for the Lordsburg Housing Authority.
