Jack Armstrong is bound over to District Court on a murder charge in the slaying of Mrs. Ruby Cardenas of Globe Arizona. The preliminary hearing before Justice C L Brown in Silver City involved seven witnesses including Dick Cureton T E Goss and Neil Moore. Bond set at 15000. The body was found buried in a shallow grave on a ranch.

Highway 70 Assoc Meet With Lordsburg Chamber

About 58 members of the Arizona U S Highway 70 Association shared a noon luncheon with Lordsburg’s Board of Directors and Highway Boosters. The event at Jones Cafe featured fall floral decor by Mrs. Earle Kerr and Mrs. George Haltom, with wheat cotton and hygeria supplied by Animas Valley farmers and Ed Hitson transporting it. The Chamber of Commerce extends thanks to donors and participants.

President Eisenhower will appear as a guest star on a two hour network telecast celebrating Edison's 75 years of the electric lamp. Farm Bureau Day Emphasized For Livestock Men

Farm and Livestock Bureau Day is set for Friday October 29 in the fair building at the fair grounds. Farmers and ranchers are urged to attend as the meeting will discuss agricultural policies and amendments to be voted on.
