Fred Ewing to Retire from Western Bank after 36 years

Alan A. Koff Services Held For Former Lordsburg Mayor
Alan A. Koff 88 longtime Lordsburg resident died Monday in Deming New Mexico. Services were held at 2 PM Thursday at Baca's Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Brewer officiating. Graveside rites were conducted by the Lordsburg Elks. Koff, born July 17 1901 in Trenton New Jersey, came to Lordsburg in 1927 and later led a diverse business career before serving six terms as mayor for 14 years. He helped widen streets pave roads fund housing and build civic facilities including the pool Little League field water sewer projects the Civic Center and the Lordsburg Airport. Survivors include his wife Marshallene and children Deana Craig and Larry Lytle. Pallbearers were John Schimmel Billy Fisher Gene Noce Bill Oliver Lance Williams Harold Bishop with Bill Kimbley Herbert Saucedo and Gary Corbell as honorary pallbearers.
