An Armistice Day committee led by Superintendent Tom Mayfield Claude Sanders and Postmaster Eugene Montague plans a program from eleven to twelve at the high school athletic field if weather allows. If not, events move to a school building or the courthouse. Since Armistice Day falls on Saturday the committee asks businesses to close one hour that day and moves the observance to Friday November 10.
