Judges Disqualified In Lordsburg City Suit On Salary

Local Oldtimer Edward Stevenson Reaches 102 in Lordsburg

Lordsburg resident Edward Leslie Stevenson turned 102 in July, crediting self care, helping others, and hard work. Born July 14, 1877 in Missouri, he fought in the Spanish American War and served as a Deputy U.S. Marshal in Indian Territory, later working as a carpenter, cross tie maker, raftsman, farmer, and service station operator before retiring in 1970 at age 92 in Lordsburg with wife Gustie McKinney and daughters Grace and Iva Jewel.
