County Receives 1987 Land Taxes Payment Share
Senator Pete Domenici announced Hidalgo County will get 258 188 dollars as part of 10 618 667 paid nationwide under the Federal Payments in Lieu of Taxes program for 1987. The Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management administers the program to compensate counties for non tax able Federal lands and to support local services.
